This series was created during the second and third months of my daughter’s life, while she was asleep. Initially unsettled in the new routine of caring for a baby, I found myself unsure of how to proceed when available time did present itself. In an effort to reconcile myself to this new schedule, I used the always about to be interrupted time of her naps to create small sets of watercolors. Each set was complete when she awoke, regardless of how many marks had been created. The work explores and is enabled by the time restraints of caring for an infant.
