Portfolio > X Stamp

The X Stamp series is a follow up investigation after my Infant Feeding Log project. The stamp itself is the tool I used to check the "left breast" or "right breast" box in the breastfeeding tracking timesheet. After this very specific project, I wanted to examine the general idea of checking a box when it comes to caregiving tasks. More, increasingly constant attention to the individual being cared for can cross over into the realm of detrimental and destructive to those involved. So, I let the tool that functioned to check the box, to indicate that a task was done, go overboard in this series. The pages are filled with an overwhelming amount of marks that no longer function to provide helpful information. Through their rapid proliferation, they loose their purpose and become untethered from their meaning.
